I don’t think we can ever say thank you enough to the men and women that have served, fought for and defended our country and freedom. They’re are incredibly brave and stronger than we think or see. It’s a beautiful thing and it’s something we should never take for granted. Thank you for your service. Always grateful.
So, not just today, but every day, thank a service man and/or service woman. Say it. I know it may feel weird to say something as simple as “thank you for your service” because you didn’t JUST receive something physical at the very moment you say thank you, but I’m sure it means a lot to them anyway. Tell them, they’re appreciated so they’re reminded how important they are and how we wouldn’t have a lot of what we do, if it weren’t for their bravery.
A year ago I worked with a Marine and his family. HE was due to be deployed very soon after our session and he wanted to make sure he had portraits of his family before leaving. They were the sweetest and so much fun to work with. I had so much fun with their little guy and I was so touched seeing how much his wife showed affection and love to, both, her husband and son. It was so pure and beautiful.
Thank you Col Warmbold and to all the other service men and women for your courage and all you do for our country!
Here are some highlights from our afternoon together.
