One early morning I received a text from Diana, a momma-to-be, asking me if I had availability because her planned (with another photographer) maternity session would not be happening after all. Had I been able to jump over to the beach that very morning when she was expecting to shoot, I would’ve. But, all worked out for us to be able to meet and schedule a session for sunset, that same day!
Pregnancy and preparing fora new baby can be a lot of work and extra details we need to attend to, and having to worry about portrait sessions should not be one of them. I really try to make it, both maternity & newborn sessions, as painless and easy flowing as possible for this reason!
So, we met at the beach and boy, oh boy, did we have it store for us to deal with wind! Diana’s skirt and hair flowed beautifully though. We worked quickly, as the sun was setting fast, and Diana while was game for getting her feet wet – but she wasn’t ready for the wave that crashed straight into her. 🙂 Even still, she glowed and I can’t wait to meet her little guy soon!
I couldn’t have asked for a nicer couple to meet on a such short notice and to deliver photos for them to use at their baby shower, like she had planned!
Here are some highlights from our evening at the beach.
