I have a feeling Little Elivin is going to have a lot of fun growing up. 😛
I got to meet him at just 5 days old for portraits with his grandparents. They were here, from out of town, to meet the newest addition to the family. Our session was scheduled for two days after the grandparents left back home. So, I went ahead and made a pit-stop one evening for pictures with the family. I didn’t include them here, moreso for privacy reasons – but everyone got a chance; grandma, grandpa, big brother, big sister, mom and dad. And Elvin was as quiet as a mouse, sleeping while we took pictures.
Two days later, I returned for our session and dad revealed what he wanted to include in the portraits. He had mentioned Game of Thrones to me when we had our pre-session emails but I wasn’t prepared for TO-SIZE REPLICA SWORDS! They were amazing! And little Elvin gave us a smile when we set it down next to him. Seriously?! So cute! I was really hoping that we’d get these, perfectly, for Dad.
**FYI, we did practice the utmost baby safety while working on this set. Dad assisted me in holding the props to keep Elvin safe. Please, don’t forget or take for granted: Safety, first and always! That’s more important than getting “the shot”.**
Afterward, I had Elvin in a basket with simple poses, for mom. Just in case. So there’s portraits of both kinds. Even though Mom told me she didn’t mind the Game of Thrones theme. 🙂 We did get some mommy and me portraits, and I do love when I get to get those too. Before we know it, they’re bigger and not as brand new, and these pictures will remind us of that.
I can’t wait to see what’s in the bag for Elvin as he grows up, with dad’s creativity and love certain characters.
In the meantime, here are some highlights from our session.
